Arab Azulejo
Own architectural style
A tile language drawn from Andalusi geometry and developed into a parametric façade system, where the pattern also provides shade.
Azulejo has a long history between the Arab world and Iberia. This project works from that geometry and gives it a structural role: perforation density follows sun angle, so the pattern contributes to shading.
The system is documented as a rule set rather than a set of files, and registered as a design so it can be licensed to façade fabricators.
